I am pleased to announce that I will be attending GENCON Indy next week! I’m very excited to see all of the great new stuff that is going to make its debut this year, and I hope to swipe up some swag along the way. To any friends and acquaintances, I hope to see you there!

GenCon Sell-outs
Well, folks, GenCon has come and gone. Unfortunately, this trend also extended to most of it’s big releases this year. Many many people couldn’t get ahold of more than a few titles this year, and it wasn’t just sad…it was infuriating.
First of all, though, here’s my short list of the top titles that sold out FAR too quickly at GenCon: Read the rest of this entry
Eldritch Lament
Oh, Arkham Nights, how I long to attend thee…
Arkham Nights is one of the many themed “mini-conventions” that Fantasy Flight Games hosts at their expo center in Roseville, MN. Sadly, I don’t think I’ll be attending THIS year, either. Of all of the themes, such as “Days of Ice & Fire” (Game of Thrones), “Realms of Terrinoth” (Runebound, Descent, etc), and one for Lord of the Rings which I can’t remember, I’ve wanted to attend Arkham Nights.
Arkham Nights, contrary to the above picture, is being held this year on October 14th – 16th. It’s packed with plenty of Mythos goodness, and best of all, swag for the various Lovecraft themed games that have done so well for Fantasy Flight Games.
Here’s a bit of info from the site itself: Read the rest of this entry
Back from GenCon
Well, folks, I have returned from GenCon, and I must say that this year was a blast! I got to try out lots of new stuff, and even picked up a few new games (before their release!). I had so much fun that I’m already planning next year’s trip. The entire GenCon experience will be related by VLog here, so stay tuned!
The above picture, if any of you were wondering, is of me (of course) with Shane Lacy Hensley. If any of you are fans of Savage Worlds, Rippers, or Deadlands, this name should be familiar to you. It was a pleasure to speak with him, as well as nab a copy of Savage Worlds Deluxe and get an autograph. Keep up the good work, Mr. Hensley!
Gencon, Ho!!!
Salutations! Today, I was going to post another text review of Dungeons & Dragons: Warriors of the Eternal Sun. Unfortunately, real life and preparations for GenCon got in the way, and here I am, making excuses on my blog. On the plus side, though, it’s friggin’ GENCON!!! I feel like a little kid at Christmas! I’ve been bouncing off the walls for the past couple of hours, and our crew leaves within the hour. There will be plenty of pictures, to be sure, and perhaps a video VLog of the experience.
To those I will see there, I can’t wait. I paid for this trip back in March, and I will finally see the payoff.
Luggage is packed, the Wands of Wonder are charged, we have a whole case of potions ready, and we cleaned out the bank of our hard-earned gold pieces for the grand bazaar of nerdiness!
GENCON, HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
